Are We Not Whores?

One of this trip's Disney souvenirs was a box of noodles and goo. For comparison purposes, the $6 we spent on this box could have bought 4 or 5 boxes of Kraft Dinner. I would never actually do that, of course. Charitably, the pasta does have the vague outline of Mickey's head. Realistically, it tastes like you might expect keepsake-grade mac'n'cheese to taste.

"keepsake-grade mac'n'cheese"

I'm still giggling over that one.

Under the cold gaze of Perspective, this was a kinda fucked-up purchase. I picked it on impulse to make my daughter laugh, which it did. The laughter subsided when we attempted to eat our souvenir. Even more fucked-up is that the list of ingredients shows that the box contained real food - Semolina wheat pasta and actual Vermont cheddar. Weird shit, man.

Crazy, Crazy, Crazy - you're not supposed to even open the box, let alone empty it and eat the contents.

Lowers the investment value. Otherwise, I'd be pouring milk over a bowl of Urkel-O's every morning - instead of sitting on a whole fruit-cellar full of cellophane-wrapped boxes of 'em and waiting for my ship to come in.

Sonny - It wasn't my fault. It was The Girl. I tried to stop her, but she's crazy-go-nuts for the Kraft Dinner. Once she saw the Mickey mac'n'cheese she got this insane strength (like those Moms who can lift a car to save their baby but can't manage to open a jar of pickles once they get home). Anyways, you're all lucky I'm alive.
