I wonder if London will acknowledge that the creator of Scott Pilgrim-- Bryan Lee O'Malley--is a London boy.
Wait, who am I kidding?
It's a coin-toss on whether the Freeps or Cityhall types will know or care - unless it can be demonstrated that O'Malley won some kind of medal or was on an American talk show (like Leno).
But you raise a good point. Maybe this is a job for some friendly voices over at The Beat?
Did the Free Press - or anyone in London outside of the skating community - even know who Tessa and Scott were *before* they won gold?
That said, I did see a small write-up on the Free Press website yesterday tho about this Pilgrim fellow.
